APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL BAR ASSOCIATION CHAPTER

PITTSBURGH, PA – December 5, 2008 - Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC litigation partner Patrick Sorek was recently appointed president of the Federal Bar Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter, effective immediately.

Patrick Sorek specializes in commercial litigation, and has considerable experience in civil rights and employment cases, including a milion dollar verdict in a First Amerndment case. His strength as a litigator comes from extensive experience as a senior law clerk in the Pittsburgh federal courthouse, where his responsibilities included drafting nearly 500 opinions covering all areas of law.

Through the Attorney General’s Honor Program, he also served as a Trial Attorney with the Civil Division, U.S. Department of Justice, in Washington, D.C. In that capacity, he represented the White House, NASA, the FBI, the CIA, the Treasury Department, and other federal agencies and officials in district court litigation around the country.

Pat is currently a court-qualified mediator and early neutral evaluator in the federal district court’s alternative dispute resolution program.

The Federal Bar Association is the professional organization for private and government lawyers and judges involved in federal practice. The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Federal Bar Association was chartered in 1959, and members come from private practice, judiciary, government agencies, military branches, local law schools and local courts.

His appointment is effective immediately.
