While the draft final overtime regulation applicable to the “white collar” (executive, administrative and professional) exemptions from overtime has not yet been released, sources indicate that the new threshold will be $47,000 per year – slightly lower than the $50,440 threshold initially announced.

Leech Tishman issued an alert about the proposed rule here. The most significant proposed change is to the salary threshold for the exemption for “white collar” employees. The final rule is predicted to be released this summer.
