Reminder: ‘Tis the Season for Flu Shots

Employers have a number of legitimate reasons for offering flu shots at the workplace. Employers need to be careful, however, when adopting or enforcing policies regarding vaccinations. While employers may want to require employees to get vaccinated, doing so could violate a collective bargaining agreement or could constitute discrimination should an employee have religious or medical objections to getting vaccinated.

Therefore, if employers truly want their employees to be vaccinated, they should encourage the employees to get their vaccinations rather than mandating them to do so.
