Steven Adelkoff has a diverse practice in real estate, structured finance and global capital markets, and energy and natural resources. He blends a practical application of finance, accounting, tax and legal principles to meet the needs of clients engaged in complex and structured domestic and international transactions. His clients range from international financial institutions to investment banks, investment managers, major real estate conglomerates and privately held companies.

Steve has a reputation as an innovator, a problem solver and a valued team member who provides strong decision analysis skills to help clients succeed.

Professional Experience
Investment Funds and Management. A significant portion of Steve’s practice centers on the formation and operation of investment funds of all strategies, and the acquisition and divestiture of fund assets. He is an international expert in the structuring of Shariah compliant investment vehicles, and is one of the architects of the
Al Safi Platform, a Shariah compliant long/short platform.
   
Energy and Natural Resource Industry. From international project financing for power generation to the legal and tax aspects of exploration for and development of natural resources, Steve has participated in a varied
array of projects in the energy and natural resources industry. He has deep experience in the development and capitalization of renewable energy projects, and has participated in the development of over 400 MW of wind
energy.
   
Complex Real Estate Structuring. Steve has been on the cutting edge of the most sophisticated real estate leasing, acquisition and financing transactions. He pioneered innovations such as “black box” financing, a mezzanine finance technique previously used in the health care industry. He frequently advises on the Shariah
aspects of real estate capital raising, joint ventures, acquisitions and operations.
