PITTSBURGH, PA – June 5, 2016 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce that attorneys Lisa M. Schonbeck and Elena C. Nola were recently elected to council member positions within divisions of the Allegheny County Bar Association (“ACBA”).

Lisa M. Schonbeck, a partner in Leech Tishman’s Employment and Litigation Practice Groups, was elected as a Council Member for the ACBA’s Labor & Employment Section. ACBA’s Labor & Employment Section studies the field of employment law, primarily through the development and sponsorship of educational programs directed to the members of the Section, to the employees, unions, employers, and also academic institutions and government agencies that are the clients and employers of Section members, and to other members of the bar association as well as to the public generally. Lisa will serve a three-year term as a Council Member. At Leech Tishman, Lisa focuses her practice in the area of employment discrimination litigation and regularly counsels employers in all aspects of employment law.

Elena C. Nola, an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups, was elected as a Council Member for the ACBA’s Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”). The YLD is comprised of all lawyers who have been admitted to the practice of law for 10 years or less. The YLD provides young lawyers with a means of gaining broader participation in bar activities, a forum for continuing legal education, and a vehicle for social exchange with their contemporaries at the bar. At Leech Tishman, Elena focuses her practice primarily on commercial litigation, product liability matters and intellectual property litigation.

“Our lawyer team is dedicated to taking on an active role within the professional associations to which they belong as well as local community organizations in which they serve,” stated David V. Weicht, Litigation Chair at Leech Tishman. “We are pleased to see Lisa and Elena lending their time and expertise to the ACBA.”

The Allegheny County Bar Association is a professional organization with more than 6,100 member lawyers, judges, magisterial district judges, legal administrators, and paralegals. The ACBA was chartered in 1870 for the purpose of the “elevation of the character, superintendence of the general interests and cultivation of a fraternal feeling among the members of the profession of law.”
