Sally Griffith Cimini is recognized for a seventh year in the Employment Law – Management, Litigation -Labor & Employment and Mediation categories. Sally has over 25 years of experience devoted exclusively to counseling and litigating on behalf of private and public sector employers in all aspects of the employment relationship, from hiring through termination and is highly regarded for her experience in the areas of employment law and alternative dispute resolution. Sally serves as Chair of Leech Tishman’s Alternative Dispute Resolution and Employment Practice Groups in the firm’s Pittsburgh office and is a member of Leech Tishman’s Management Committee.
Pete Fuscaldo is recognized for a sixth year in the Corporate Law and Tax Law categories. Pete represents a diverse group of established, privately-held companies, often serving as general business counsel in both day-to-day matters and strategic transactions. He advises on the form of business entity and structure of business acquisitions, private equity transactions, and dispositions to minimize federal income tax consequences. In addition, Pete counsels businesses on complex restructuring and recapitalization transactions. His in-depth understanding of both business and tax laws allows him to be creative in finding solutions to otherwise difficult deals. Pete also represents clients in federal tax controversies at the administrative dispute resolution level before the IRS and in litigation before the U.S. Tax Court. Pete is the firm’s managing partner, serves on the firm’s Management Committee and is a member of Leech Tishman’s Corporate, Taxation and Construction Practice Groups in the firm’s Pittsburgh office.
David Lampl is recognized for a sixth year in the Bankruptcy and Creditor – Debtor Rights Law / Insolvency and Reorganization Law and Litigation- Bankruptcy categories. David is highly regarded for the major role he has played in numerous local and national high profile cases involving Chapter 11 bankruptcies and out-of-court restructurings. Over the course of his career, David has served as lead counsel on behalf of banks, creditors’ committees and debtor companies in a wide variety of complex bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters. David serves as Co-Chair of Leech Tishman’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group in the firm’s Pittsburgh office.
Fred Leech is recognized for a second year in the Banking and Finance Law category. Fred has a wide-ranging legal practice advising business clients on regulatory matters, corporate governance and acquisition transactions. He serves as outside general counsel to a number of operating company clients, principally in the manufacturing and media industries. In this role, in addition to managing his own legal projects, Fred oversees the delivery of a wide range of services in areas such as intellectual property, employment, tax, litigation, environmental law and benefits. Fred also has significant experience representing investment advisers in regulatory matters and strategic transactions. Fred serves as Chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in Leech Tishman’s Pittsburgh office.
Danton Mak is recognized for a second year in the Litigation- Patent Law category. Danton is experienced in industry, management and the law. His influence extends beyond the United States, and Hong Kong where he was born and raised, to Taiwan and the People’s Republic of China. Danton’s insight, knowledge, experience and contacts throughout the U.S. and the Far East have proven invaluable to clients seeking to establish ventures or business operations at home or abroad. Prior to joining Leech Tishman in 2014, Danton was a partner at Sheldon Mak & Anderson (“SMA”), a California-based full-service intellectual property law firm. Danton is a member of Leech Tishman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm’s California office and focuses his practice in all aspects of intellectual property.
Jeff Sheldon is recognized for an eighth year in the Litigation-Intellectual Property Law, Litigation-Patent Law, Patent Law and Trademark Law categories. Jeff has been recognized as the Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in the Patent Law category for the Los Angeles area for the past few years and has also previously been selected by California Lawyer as one of the 20 best intellectual property lawyers in the state. Prior to joining Leech Tishman in 2014, Jeffrey was also a partner at SMA, where he was recognized for his leadership in creating one of the most dynamic, purely intellectual property law firms in the country. Jeff is the author of the foremost treatise on how to write patent applications, “How to Write A Patent Application,” first published in 1992 by the Practicing Law Institute. The treatise is used in law schools and by aspiring patent attorneys throughout the world. Jeffrey is regularly retained by in-house counsel of large corporations because of his command of intellectual property law. He has a technical background in the biomedical and chemical engineering arts. Jeff is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm’s California office and focuses his practice in all aspects of intellectual property, from prosecution and litigation to domestic and international licensing.
Wesley Yang is recognized for a fourth year in the Tax Law category. Wesley is well known for his experience in complex corporate and tax law matters. As a tax attorney and Certified Public Accountant, Wesley has more than 38 years of broad experience in estate planning and administration, asset protection planning, corporate and partnership taxation, international taxation, captive insurance companies and management succession planning for closely held businesses. He specializes in the areas of income tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals and owners of closely held businesses. Wesley is Chair of the firm’s Taxation Practice Group. He also practices in the Corporate and Estates & Trusts Practice Groups in Leech Tishman’s Pittsburgh office.
Bob Schroeder is recognized for a 10th year in the Litigation-Intellectual Property Law, Litigation-Patent Law, Patent Law and Trademark Law categories. Bob has been a patent litigator for more than 30 years. He has been lead counsel in patent cases, as well as trade secret, trademark, copyright, unfair competition and trade dress cases, and has handled IP arbitrations before domestic and international tribunals. He is experienced in appeals before various circuit courts of appeal and has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. Bob regularly advises clients on patent infringement matters, licensing agreements and intellectual property acquisitions. In addition, he supervises patent prosecution and maintenance programs and counsels clients as to intellectual property generally. Prior to joining Leech Tishman in 2014, Bob was a partner at SMA. Bob is a member of Leech Tishman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm’s California office and focuses his practice on patent litigation.
