Forbes listed Pittsburgh as number four on its list of the top cities for tech-savvy individuals. According to the article, “A strong work ethic is built into the city’s industrial history and continues to be exhibited to this day. About 18.8% of Pittsburgh residents are between the ages of 25 and 34, and the cost of living is quite low.” The article further points out that AlphaLab is one of the most successful accelerators in the country and that Pittsburgh has launched a number of successful tech start-ups, including Duolingo, Digital Dream Labs and Aquion.
