Alliance for Mergers & Acquisitions 2019 Symposium Series: Western PA Chapter: Part 3
September 12 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Leech Tishman Corporate Practice Group Partner Bruce Bowden serves on the Board of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisitions Advisors (Pittsburgh Chapter). This group is planning a four-part educational symposium series for 2019. The third seminar will be held on September 12.
Closely-held businesses represent a significant portion of the U.S. economy. Based on ownership demographics, it is estimated that $10 trillion in closely-held business assets will transition by 2040; however, the vast majority of owners lack advisors to recommend and implement proactive transition strategies. In this series you will learn innovative approaches to implement your business strategy: • Maximize the value of your business; • Evaluate strategic options to grow, re-cap, or sell; • Develop and retain key employees; • Prepare for transfer or transition of ownership; and • Tax strategies and legacy planning.
September 12: Value Optimization and Pre-Transition Planning Tactics
Learn how to unlock the value trapped inside your business through identifying (and mitigating) risks that detract from value in a transition. This workshop is focused on understanding the wide gaps in value expectations between buyers and sellers and what actions you can take today to close this gap well ahead of any planned transactions. The workshop will also cover the pre-sale tax planning toolkit and provide insight to both the “tools” and how to evaluate the effectiveness of them in your personal circumstances. Learn how to build long-term sustainable value and how you can take steps to make your business and yourself “transaction ready.”
