WHERE: Sheraden: Pittsburgh Langley School, 2940 Sheraden Boulevard
WHY: This Tuesday people will be waiting in lines, perhaps hoping at the polls to cast a vote for a better future, and perhaps hoping, at the Great Garden Giveaway, for a future without want.
The Great Garden Giveaway provides plants, seeds and supplies to residents to encourage them to grow their own produce. The support of the County Controller’s office, Leech Tishman and other new sponsors enabled this increasingly popular three-year-old program to be offered at more distribution sites, to more families this year.
