Cannabis LawTalk Podcast Latest Episode Explores Women in Cannabis
PITTSBURGH, PA – July 8, 2021 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce a new episode of its Cannabis LawTalk podcast featuring an interview with attorneys Tobi Lebowitz, the Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs at Jushi Holdings Inc., and Alissa (Ali) Jubelirer, a legal consultant in the cannabis industry, to discuss the status of women currently involved in or looking to enter the cannabis industry. Both Tobi and Ali entered the industry in the last 3-4 years and have experienced, even within that time, the growth in opportunities for both women and minorities to excel their careers within that space. This episode is all about learning to create a more inclusive work space for attorneys interested in entering this new field, and the benefits of getting into a less than traditional industry for women and minorities alike. The full episode can be accessed here.
Premiering in 2020, Cannabis LawTalk (www.cannabislawtalk.com) features Leech Tishman Cannabis Partner Ken Foltz as he discusses the business, politics, and law of the ever-changing cannabis industry. The podcast is national in scope, with particular attention on the newest cannabis legalization trends in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania.
As of June 2021, 17 states, as well as the District of Columbia and Guam, have legalized recreational marijuana. In addition, almost 80% of states allow for the use of medical marijuana[1]. According to Forbes, spending on legal cannabis worldwide is expected to reach $57 billion by 2027[2].
Cannabis LawTalk offers listeners insight, guidance, legal analysis, and industry developments on the cannabis industry in layman’s terms. The target audience for this podcast includes those who are interested in starting, purchasing, or investing in a cannabis, CBD, THC cannabinoid business or operating in the international industrial hemp arena, or are simply curious about the industry and its impact on communities and its citizens.
