In an interview with PacerMonitor, Healthcare Chair and Firm Partner Harry Nelson provided his expert insight regarding the recent opioid litigation and the effect it will have on the future of healthcare.
Harry provided commentary on a recent litigation case that is one of more than 2,000 that have been consolidated in the National Prescription Opiate Litigation brought against drug companies for the opioid epidemic. The case is scheduled to begin proceedings in October in Cuyahoga County and Summit County, Ohio, and covers allegations form the DEA that drug companies distributed 267,109,356 oxycodone and hydrocodone tablets between 2006 and 2012 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
