Leech Tishman Real Estate Partner Ken Foltz recently attended the grand opening of Fifth Season (formerly known as RoBotany) in Braddock. The Braddock site, developed by Pittsburgh-based real estate developer RDC, Inc. is the first completed federal Qualified Opportunity Zone project in Allegheny County.
Fifth Season is a solar-powered, fully-automated, 60,000 square foot vertical farming operation. The facility will house the equivalent of approximately 2.5 acres of traditional farmland and is expected to produce over 500,000 pounds of leafy greens and herbs to be sold in area grocery stores and local restaurants.
Leech Tishman was pleased to have the opportunity to assist RDC President Shawn Fox and CEO John Deklewa with their equity raise to make this project happen.
