PITTSBURGH, PA – January 4, 2021 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce the election of Jeffrey T. Criswell, Francesca M. Schiavone and Charles M. Yeomans as new partners of the firm. All three partners are based in the firm’s Pittsburgh, PA office.
Criswell is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on general civil litigation with experience in the areas of municipal liability, civil rights, and premises liability. Criswell regularly represents municipalities, corporations, and insurers in matters involving civil rights, municipal liability, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, contract disputes, subrogation, and professional errors and omissions. He routinely advocates for clients in state and federal courts, including serving as the first-chair attorney in jury trials. Criswell also counsels clients on issues related to cybersecurity, including risk assessment and best practices for avoiding a potential breach.
Schiavone is a member of Leech Tishman’s Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups as well as the LaunchPad legal group, which provides legal services to start-ups. Schiavone’s practice involves counseling clients on corporate mergers and acquisitions, business planning and structuring, real estate transactional matters, including commercial and residential sales, acquisitions and leases, and general corporate governance matters. Schiavone has experience guiding qualifying business owners to obtain certification as a minority business enterprise, women-owned business enterprise, and/or disadvantaged business enterprise.
Yeomans is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Yeomans has experience in the chemical, material and medical device areas. He regularly handles matters including patent and trademark searches, preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademark applications, and patent infringement analysis. Prior to becoming an attorney, Yeomans worked as a Research Chemist for a specialty chemical manufacturer where he carried out complex laboratory synthesis and focused on process improvements for new technologies.
