Leech Tishman Litigation Partner Heather Heidelbaugh Joins Pennsylvania Auditor General-elect Transition Team

PITTSBURGH, PA – December 9, 2020 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce that Leech Tishman Litigation Practice Group Partner Heather S. Heidelbaugh has been invited to serve on the Transition Team for Pennsylvania Auditor General-elect Tim DeFoor.

Heidelbaugh is a Partner in the Litigation Practice Group in Leech Tishman’s Pittsburgh, PA office. An experienced trial lawyer, she has handled a wide variety of litigation matters for businesses and individuals. Heidelbaugh focuses her practice on all types of litigation. She is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America, a national legal honorary society. Heidelbaugh is a well-known public commentator on issues related to politics, law, and elections. She appears frequently on local television and radio regarding public affairs in Pittsburgh and has been quoted by a number of national and local television shows and publications. Heidelbaugh has also served on the Allegheny County Council as an At-Large Member.

ABOUT TIM DEFOOR

Tim DeFoor has more than 25 years of combined experience in law enforcement and auditing, in both the public and private sectors. He began his public service as a special investigator in the state Office of Inspector General, investigating government and contractor fraud, waste, and abuse within state government. He later became a special agent with the Office of Attorney General, investigating Medicaid fraud and illegal prescription drug diversion. DeFoor also worked as a fraud investigator and internal auditor for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Health Plan and various federal contractors. In 2015, DeFoor was elected as Dauphin County controller and quickly earned a reputation as a fiscal watchdog and trusted leader, saving and recovering over $1 million in taxpayer dollars during his first term. He created Dauphin County’s first Audit Division and reformed how the county reported its finances. His efforts earned Dauphin County’s first-ever award for financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. DeFoor resides in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County.
