In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Leech Tishman participated in a firmwide MLK Day of Service across its Los Angeles, New York and Pittsburgh offices.
In Los Angeles, volunteers attended the L.A. Works MLK Day Volunteer Festival at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where they assembled no-sew pillows to help create welcoming reading spaces for children served by organizations including Hopics, Para Los Niños, and the Pasadena Educational Foundation. Volunteers also painted books and made seed balls to help regrow the areas impacted by the LA fires.
In New York, volunteers prepared 250 care kits filled with hygiene essentials and handwritten notes of encouragement for The Bowery Mission, a nonprofit that provides critical support to individuals facing homelessness, hunger and crisis.
In Pittsburgh, volunteers partnered with Our Giving Kitchen to prepare 150 home-cooked meals, supporting the organization’s mission to provide nutritious food to those in need through collaborations with local charities.
