PITTSBURGH, PA—April 3, 2016 – Heather Heidelbaugh, a partner in Leech Tishman’s Litigation Practice Group and a well-known public commentator on politics, legal matters and election issues, recently appeared on CBS2-Pittsburgh’s KD/PG Sunday Edition show, hosted by Ken Rice, anchor for KDKA-CBS TV. The show aired on Sunday, April 3, and the topic was “Women and the Election.”
Heather was joined by David Shribman, CBS anchor and Executive Editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; Kristin Kanthak, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh; and Dana Brown, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics (PCWP) at Chatham University. Heather is also a board member of the PCWP.
The show’s discussion focused on the role women will play—both as candidates and voters—in the 2016 election. The panel also commented on the political fallout following the controversial comments about women and abortion made by Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump last week.
