Employment Partner Philip A. Toomey Attends Lobby Day May 13-14
EL SEGUNDO, CA – May 13, 2019 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce that Partner Philip A. Toomey will be participating in the “One Voice Against Cancer Lobby Day” in Washington, D.C. from Monday May 13 – Tuesday May 14.
Phil will join members of the coalition One Voice Against Cancer (OVAC), who will be participating in the OVAC’s annual lobby day in the nation’s capital to address federal funding for cancer research.
Volunteers travel to Washington, D.C. for training on the legislative issues and advocacy methods, followed by a full-day meeting with members of Congress or their staff about the importance of federal funding in the fight against cancer. This advocacy work and the personal stories of volunteers underscores the need for continued government involvement in cancer research and treatment studies.
