PITTSBURGH, PA – February 28, 2023 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce that partner Steven D. Irwin was recently elected to serve as Chair of the Anti-Defamation League (“ADL”) region serving Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania. Irwin was confirmed as Board Chair at ADL’s Board Meeting held on Thursday, February 23 at the Maltz Museum in Cleveland. He will serve a three-year term as Chair.
Irwin has previously served as an ADL National Commissioner and currently serves as an Executive Committee member on the ADL’s Regional Board. Over the years, he has played an active role in the ADL’s initiatives in Pittsburgh and was an integral part of rebuilding the ADL’s on-the-ground presence in the wake of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting. He has been instrumental in expanding the No Place for Hate program into more than 60 schools in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Irwin is a member of Leech Tishman’s Corporate Group, where he co-leads the Government Relations and the Securities Practices. He is also a member of the Employment & Labor Practice Group, which he chaired for a decade. Irwin is based in the firm’s Pittsburgh office, where he handles business matters, routinely interacts with government bodies and counsels high-level management, defending against or asserting allegations of fraudulent conduct. Irwin served on the firm’s Management Committee for more than a decade.
