Leech Tishman Partners Admitted to Various Courts

PITTSBURGH, PA – June 24, 2021 –  Leech Tishman is pleased to announce that two of its Partners were recently admitted to additional courts in the U.S. Philip A. Toomey, Chair of the firm’s Employment & Labor Practice Group, was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and Alisa N. Carr, a member of the Litigation Practice Group, was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Philip A. Toomey is based in the LAX/El Segundo, CA office. In addition to serving as national Chair of the Employment & Labor Practice Group, he leads the Public Sector Employment Group. Toomey is also a member of the Litigation Practice Group, where he co-leads the Restrictive Covenants/Non-Competes Group. Toomey serves as the trusted outside general counsel for international, privately held, and small to mid-market companies in the aerospace, transportation, manufacturing, food production, office, and retail services industries, among others. He has more than 37 years of successful business and courtroom experience in helping business owners and organizations sustain and build their enterprises. Clients rely on his rare combination of business experience and legal expertise to meet their needs. Toomey regularly advises clients on issues involving commercial & civil litigation, employment law, insurance and risk management, ethics and business compliance, real estate, intellectual property, internal/external investigations, strategic transactions, corporate structure issues and other business law matters.

Alisa N. Carr is based in the Pittsburgh, PA office. As a member of the Litigation Practice Group, she leads the ADA Title III Defense Group and co-leads the Real Estate Litigation Group. Carr is also a member of the Real Estate Practice Group, where she co-leads the Assessments and Appeals Group and the Permitting and Zoning Group. Carr is both an experienced litigator and a real estate transaction lawyer with a track record of successful results for clients. She focuses her practice on litigation, arbitration and mediation before federal and state courts and administrative and regulatory agencies with an emphasis on real estate, ADA Title III and FHA defense, land use, and representation of commercial and residential landlords.
