Leech Tishman is pleased to welcome new attorney, David Chao to the firm. Chao joins as a Partner in Healthcare and Litigation Practice Groups. He will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, and will focus his practice on healthcare litigation, government investigations, and white-collar defense.
Chao’s practice includes matters involving healthcare fraud and abuse, federal and state criminal investigations, civil False Claims Act allegations, internal investigations, and related regulatory proceedings. He represents healthcare businesses, providers, and executives in significant disputes, investigations, and enforcement matters. He also advises clients on reimbursement disputes, administrative overpayment proceedings, and compliance issues arising under the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law.
Prior to Leech Tishman, Chao was a federal prosecutor, serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, where he prosecuted significant white-collar matters, including healthcare fraud cases.
