Leech Tishman is pleased to welcome new attorney, Nicholas Merkin, to the firm as Counsel in the Healthcare Practice Group. Merkin will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office and will focus his practice on healthcare regulatory compliance, advising healthcare organizations on complex legal and operational issues.
Merkin’s practice includes matters involving artificial intelligence in healthcare, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, and HIPAA privacy and security. He also advises on alternative payment methodologies, provider network structures, and compliance program development.
In addition to his role at Leech Tishman, Merkin also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Compliagent, a consulting firm serving healthcare organizations nationwide.
