Leech Tishman is proud to announce that Litigation Partner Heather S. Heidelbaugh was recently recognized with the Distinguished Service Alumni Award from the University of Missouri College of Arts and Science. She received the award during the Arts and Sciences Awards Celebration on March 6, 2025.
The Distinguished Service Alumni Award is a Gold Standard Award which celebrates alumni who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership, and service to the University of Missouri.
Heidelbaugh earned both her bachelor’s degree (AB, Economics and Political Science) in 1981 and her law degree (JD) in 1984 from the University of Missouri in Columbia. As a student, she was actively involved in campus life, serving as a Missouri Student Association Senator and Presidential Assistant throughout her undergraduate years. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
In addition to her career at Leech Tishman, Heidelbaugh has deeply rooted herself in public service. She currently serves as a County Councilwoman-At-Large for Allegheny County, representing 1.2 million citizens and serving on the Budget & Finance Committee. She is also Co-Chair of the National Republican Lawyers Association and a member of the Advisory Board for Chatham University’s Center for Women & Politics. Additionally, she has been a weekly panelist on WQED’s public affairs program, 4802, for nine years and has been featured in major media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, ABC World News Tonight, CNN, and The New York Times.
At Leech Tishman, Heidelbaugh is a Partner in the Litigation Practice Group with four decades of trial experience. She has successfully represented clients in high-stakes litigation at both regional and national levels.
