Leech Tishman Lawyer Named Among “Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest”
Firm Congratulates Jessica Ziemski for Recognition by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
PITTSBURGH, PA – Leech Tishman is proud to announce that lawyer Jessica Ziemski was recently chosen by the Western Pennsylvania chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of “Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest.” Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest is an elite group of eligible men and women that are honored each year for their success and involvement in the Pittsburgh community. Jessica will be formally recognized for this honor at a gala held on August 15, 2013 at the Omni William Penn in Pittsburgh, PA and will also be featured in the August issue of WHIRL Magazine. Each of the 50 Finest honorees has committed to raising as much money as possible (a minimum of $2,500) in anticipation of the gala, which raises much needed funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Jessica is an associate in the Litigation and Employment Practice Groups and focuses her practice mainly on the representation of businesses and individuals in commercial disputes and employment litigation. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D.) and The Pennsylvania State University (B.S.), Jessica started her career with Leech Tishman while she was attending law school. Jessica is licensed in Pennsylvania and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 young people in the United States, taking many of their lives before the age of 37. Since 1989, when researchers made the long awaited discovery of the gene that causes CF, incredible progress has been made that puts CF research at the brink of a cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Foundation funds more cystic fibrosis research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
Based in Bethesda, Md., the Foundation also supports and accredits a national care center network that has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a model of care for a chronic disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a donor-supported nonprofit organization. For more information, go to www.cff.org.
