PITTSBURGH, PA – April 27, 2018 – Leech Tishman is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys to the firm, Forrest T. Passerin and Matthew S. Sutphen.

Forrest joins Leech Tishman as Counsel in the firm’s Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups and will be based in the Wilmington, DE office. Forrest will focus his practice primarily on corporate real estate transactions and mid-market mergers and acquisitions.

Forrest’s experience includes all aspects of real estate development acquisition, investment and financing. He regularly handles joint venture, acquisition, and disposition transactions on behalf of public and private real estate investors. Forrest represents lenders and borrowers in loan transactions and negotiating and restructuring distressed real estate lending and joint venture relationships. Prior to joining Leech Tishman, Forrest was employed with several major law firms.

Matthew joins the firm as an Associate in Leech Tishman’s Taxation and Corporate Practice Groups and will be based in the Pittsburgh, PA office. Matthew will focus his practice on international, federal and state tax planning and tax controversy matters, as well as corporate and transactional matters for domestic and international companies.

Matthew represents individuals and entities at all stages of the litigation process in matters before the Internal Revenue Service. He is also experienced in handling tax planning for individuals, multinational corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, as well as assisting clients with business formation and entity selection, corporate governance, and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Leech Tishman, Matthew worked at several major law firms as a tax and corporate associate. He also previously worked in Washington, D.C., for the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), an independent bureau within the U.S. Department of the Treasury that oversees the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the IRS Oversight Board, and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel.
