“Christopher Gonzalez is one of the most astute, trusted, and knowledgeable attorneys I have ever had the occasion to work with – and in 32 years of law enforcement, I have worked beside many.”Ray Edey, Executive Director at I-C-I System Public Safety Communications
Christopher Gonzalez is a Partner with Leech Tishman and a member of the Corporate, Data Privacy & Cybersecurity, Employment & Labor, Intellectual Property, and Litigation Practice Groups. He is also Co-Chair of the Cannabis Group and a member of the International Group. Chris is based in the Pasadena office, where he focuses his practice on business, corporate and civil law, intellectual property, entertainment and internet matters, as well as assisting professionals in selected immigration matters.
Christopher approaches his clients’ legal needs with the unique practical perspective of having served as former in-house legal counsel, including the importance of agreements that facilitate rather than hinder. He provides a combination of broad litigation, trial and transactional experience with in-depth knowledge and expertise on a variety of legal issues.
Christopher works with individuals and all types of business ventures to assist in launching their models, from a ground floor entity to fully functioning and sustainable enterprises. He currently serves as a member of several management teams, where he effectively works with and represents clients before governmental agencies in the corporate boardroom and in the traditional forum—the courtroom. His clients range from individuals, start-up ventures and privately held companies to non-profit and international publicly-traded entities.
Over the last several years, Christopher has expanded his practice into international affairs, where he consults with multi-national individuals and businesses in a variety of legal matters. He actively consults on matters in the Asia-Pacific rim, including a multi-billion-dollar master plan community with an integrated resort complex consisting of a casino, a hotel, and other amenities, including restaurants, convention/meeting/wedding space and some non-gaming entertainment.
Christopher is also a proficient and effective litigator in civil and business matters, where he successfully defends or prosecutes matters through trial and appeal stages. He has acted as a Judge (Pro Tem) and a Temporary Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
In the technology arena, Christopher remains on top of the issues developing with the growth of technology businesses and the Internet world. He has developed skills from numerous disciplines, molding them into bona fide status as a technology and dotcom entrepreneur and practitioner.
Chris’s commitment to causes outside of the law is equally significant as are his legal skills. Christopher regularly volunteers his time to organizations that deal with the betterment, encouragement and instillment of life-enhancing values in children.
