Rebecca Nathanson
Counsel
Rebecca Nathanson is Counsel with Leech Tishman and a member of the Employment & Labor and Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. Rebecca is based in the New York office, and focuses her practice on providing advice and counsel in employment law, workplace investigations, litigation and negotiating favorable settlements/resolutions.
Rebecca is a highly experienced litigator with over 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors. She has experience in human rights discrimination, sexual harassment, and whistleblower cases in state and federal courts, including favorable jury verdict. She handles cases at all stages, from inception to dismissal, settlement, or trial.
During the course of her career, Rebecca provided advice and counsel to executive and senior management regarding day-to-day operations, employee issues, employee relations matters, including recommendations as to disciplinary measures, including termination, strategic initiatives and legally complex cases. She conducted regulatory investigations and ensured compliance at two fortune 500 companies. She has also led diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.
Prior to joining Leech Tishman, Rebecca worked as Counsel in the Office of General Counsel for the NY State Department of Labor where she advised the former Deputy Commissioner on program (strategic initiatives), risk analysis, and legal matters and created and led an inaugural Governor’s task force unit for NYLL retaliation investigation.
